Rafael Nadal, the best player of the season on clay, had no problem to defeat the Argentine Juan Monaco in first round of the Synsam Swedish Open for 6-1, 6-1. With the victory of yesterday, Nadal has become the second player that has reached 50 victories in this season. The first one is the Swiss Roger Federer. Nadal, the No. 1 seed, will face fellow Spaniard Alberto Martin in the second round. Carlos Moyá and Juan Carlos Ferrero have advanced to the following round after defeating the Spaniard Alex Calatrava for 7-5, 6-2, and the Czech Lukas Dlouhy for 6-4, 6-1, respectively.
