This sounds odd but works great for my wrist snap! I take a basket to the service line and hit serves right from there. I try to really concentrate on getting up to the ball and "snapping" my wrist to get either great speed or speed and spin.
I monitor where the ball bounces on the back fence and try to get the ball to bounce even higher against the fence after the first bounce. Always keep the service in the service box.
Then, gradually move backwards a step and keep working on extending upward and snapping down.
This drill has really helped my serve. I now always get up as high as possible to the ball and get a much better wrist snap on the ball. Try it for yourself. |
