What I learned in my lesson today.

I had a lesson with John today, and we took a break from short balls and volleys, to address my lack of pace on my forehand.
We decided I need to bring the tip of my racket back as I turn my body on the backswing. My elbow should stay in to my body, and my racket head should be facing the side fence. I MUST release my wrist when I stroke it, remembering to let it loose.
I can not let myself bring my elbow back first. This will make me hit with a chicken wing. Which is not good. I can't lock my wrist.
I'm playing doubles tomorrow with the ladies, so I will continue to work on my forehand. On my volleys, I will try not to lunge, but direct the ball to my target. On serves, my toss will be in a line to my target, I will get good extension, and will NOT hit bad tosses. I will not be conservative on my second serve (won't guide it).
