What I did in my lesson today

Today, Lisa and I played for 4 hours, almost non-stop. Lisa had the first lesson, so I hit serves. I was hitting them well today because i was staying very loose and relaxed, but still going for the ball. I was keeping the toss to my right so I could get the spin on it, and on the second serves, I always made sure to keep my grip and "cut" the ball. It was very good to hit them well since the past couple of times, it has been frustrating.

I my lesson, I was staying really relaxed. We warmed up then hit some volleys, being sure to not let my foot drop back before I step to the ball, keeping my hands together in front, and on the floaters, getting it in my "zone" so that I can "spank" the ball in.

Next, mixed it all together with approach shots. We worked on remembering to hit more of a drive ball (with pace) on the short bouncy ones. On the deep ones. (On deep bouncy ones, I should move back and hit a topspin ball back deep in the court.)

we finished up with serves, and really didn't make any adjustments, John just stressed that your serve is only as good as your second serve. I need to practice mine more, and ALWAYS stay loose, but still go for the ball, and put spin on it.

We hit for and hour and 1/2...
