Today, was a pretty good clinic day, kind of slow though. I was suprised that it even dried up enough for us to have it...
We got there 30 minutes early and hit for 15 before John showed up. I started out playing best of 3 with John, but we ended up playing 4 games, each taking 2.
Then I went over to hit serves. Most of the time John was watching and teaching John the kick serve. I hit mostly 1st serves. John and I decided it is really good, except I turn to the net a tad early, so I'm trying to wait a bit more before I turn into it now. Also, I think John would like for me to have just a smigin more spin on the 1st.
I returned serve for a little after that, and it was pretty dull, because the person who was serving to me couldn't get it over the net.
Anyway, Lisa and I are going to the Bristol Raquet Club on Saturday for the META clinic with Bob Love, so that should be interesting, and hopefully a lot of fun... |
